Half Marathon Course Information
This is 21.1km of Melbourne at its best.
Starting on Batman Avenue, you’ll run the city like you’ve never seen it before – east along Flinders Street, through the leafy canopy of Fitzroy Gardens, and past the iconic Flinders Street Station.
The course continues toward Docklands, hugging the Yarra River past Crown Melbourne and on to Marvel Stadium at Harbour Esplanade. Cross the river via Webb Bridge, follow the South Wharf Promenade, and loop back through Alexandra Gardens as the city skyline comes into full view.
Then comes the Tan. Melbourne’s most beloved run track awaits on St Kilda Road – past the Shrine of Remembrance, around Government House, and back toward the river.
The final stretch brings you home along the Yarra into Birrarung Marr, onto Tanderrum Bridge, and across the finish line inside Melbourne Park.

Drink stations
Drink stations are located every 2-4km. The Half Marathon will pass 6 drink stations. There will be PURE Sports Hydration drinks available at select drink stations.

Cut-Off Times
Runners need to have reached the following locations by the time indicated.
7:30am: All participants must have crossed the start line
8:00am: Reached Intersection of Lansdowne St and Flinders St (3km)
9:15am: Reached Webb Bridge (10km)
11:45am: Reached Batman Avenue (20km)
Pacers
Pace Groups: 1hr 25mins, 1hr 30mins, 1hr 40mins, 1hr 45mins, 1hr 50mins, 2hrs, 2hrs 10mins, 2hrs 20mins.
All Pace Group Leaders will be identifiable in event gear with a flag and their particular pace time clearly visible on the flag.
