Put your training to the test as you take on a flat and fast Fisocrem 10K run around Melbourne’s city streets. Whether you’re looking for a challenge, racing a PB or completing your first 10K, this race is open to anyone. See you at the finish line.

    How does it work?

    Sign up

    Free to all Run Melbourne 2021 participants register via this link.


    Get your race bib

    Download your Half Marathon, 10k or 5k virtual race bib or use your 2021 race bib (if you’ve received it).


    Ready, set, race

    Set your route, track your run on Garmin or Strava.


    Submit your results

    We will send you a unique link to submit your results, verify your time via your fitness tracker (Garmin or Strava) or upload a photo of your time, and see yourself on the leaderboard.

    Receive your finisher medal

    This will be available for collection at Sole Motive CBD & Sole Motive Hawthorn stores at the conclusion of the Run Melbourne Virtual event.

    Age Limit

    Must be 12 years old on race day. 

    Drink stations

    The 10k will pass 3 drink stations. There will be Gatorade sports drinks available at drinks stations throughout the course.

    Please refer to your course map for drink station locations.

    Race Wheelchair

    The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 10 minutes before the official 10km event – at 8:35am. Please be at the start line no later than 8.15am.

    Wheelchair Access

    Run Melbourne accommodates wheelchairs in our event.  If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.

    Kilometre markers

    The kilometre markers for the 10k will be coloured GREEN. The same as your race bib colour.

    COVID-Safe Plan

    We will be delivering these events in a modified format to ensure they are in accordance with the Victorian Government’s guidelines. You can view our COVID-Safe plan here.

    Start Line


    RACE START TIME: 8:45am. We recommend you arrive at the event at least one hour before your race start time.


    8:45am for Priority Start, Wave A, B and Champion Charity runners
    8:55am for Wave C and D runners


    WAVE A – Under 55mins
    WAVE B – 56mins – 1 hour
    WAVE C – 1 hour, 1 min – 1 hour, 10 mins
    WAVE D – 1 hour, 10 mins +

    If you wish to run with friends or family who are starting in a different Wave Start Zone, you may start in a slower zone than that printed on your race number (e.g. someone with a B Zone label may start in B, C, or D) but not in a faster one (e.g. A).

    Please note: Wave Start Zones will be indicated by coloured feathers in place at the start line to ensure a smooth start for all participants. Entrants are asked to assemble in the appropriate zone as indicated by the letter printed on their race bib.

    Split times

    In 2021, Run Melbourne will have a tracking app that will update the runner’s movement around the course. 

    Course cut off times

    Start line closes 9:10am

    Finish Line closes 11:30am

    *Any participant who does not get to the corner of Batman Ave and Flinders st by 11.25am will be moved onto footpath.

    On Course Cut off:

    After 10:15am, participants who have not passed the Toorak road will be held to cross at lights.  (12mins per km pace).
