Download your Half Marathon, 10k or 5k virtual race bib or use your 2021 race bib (if you’ve received it).

Ready, set, race

Set your route, track your run on Garmin or Strava.

Submit your results

We will send you a unique link to submit your results, verify your time via your fitness tracker (Garmin or Strava) or upload a photo of your time, and see yourself on the leaderboard.

Receive your finisher medal

This will be available for collection at Sole Motive CBD & Sole Motive Hawthorn stores at the conclusion of the Run Melbourne Virtual event.

Age limit

Must be 16 years old on race day.

Wheelchair information

Racing Wheelchair

If you are a racing wheelchair please contact timing@solemotive.com to secure your spot. The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 10 minutes before the official ASICS Half Marathon event – at 6:35am.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS. Please be at the start line no later than 6.20am

Run Melbourne accommodates wheelchairs in our event. If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.

Drink stations

Drink stations are located every 3-4km. The ASICS Half Marathon will pass 5 drink stations. There will be Gatorade sports drinks available at drinks stations number 3-5. Please refer to your course map for drink station locations.

Split times

In 2021, Run Melbourne will have a tracking app that will update the runner’s movement around the course. 

COVID-Safe Plan

We will be delivering these events in a modified format to ensure they are in accordance with the Victorian Government’s guidelines. You can view our COVID-Safe plan here.

Start Line

Please note, that all the information below relates to ASICS Half Marathon participants:

START LINE LOCATION: Flinders St. (corner of Elizabeth St)

RACE START TIME: 6:45am. We recommend you arrive at the event at least 45-6omins before your race start times.

WAVE START ASSEMBLY TIME: 6:15am for all waves. For those wanting to be in Wave A or the Priority Area please be in position from 6.10am

PREDICTED FINISH TIMES PER WAVE ALLOCATION:

WAVE A – Under 1 hour, 45 mins
WAVE B – 1 hour, 46mins – 1 hour, 55 mins
WAVE C – 1 hour, 56 mins – 2 hours, 10 mins
WAVE D – 2 hours, 10 mins +

If you wish to run with friends or family who are starting in a different Wave Start Zone, you may start in a slower zone than that printed on your race number (e.g. someone with a B Zone label may start in B, C, or D) but not in a faster one (e.g. A).

Please note: Wave Start Zones will be indicated by coloured feathers in place at the start line to ensure a smooth start for all participants. Entrants are asked to assemble in the appropriate zone as indicated by the letter printed on their race bib. A start line map will be available closer to the date.

Kilometre markers

The kilometre markers for the ASICS Half Marathon will be coloured RED. The same as your race bib colour.

Course cut off times

Start line closes 7:05am.

Finish Line closes 11:30 am.

*Any participant who does not get to the corner of Batman Ave and Flinders st by 11.25 am will be moved onto footpath.

On Course Cut off:

After 10:00am, participants who have not passed the below point will be held to cross at lights.

17km by 10:15am – Crossing Toorak Rd Faulkner Park (12mins per km pace).

Please note, in light of the Government announcement of the lockdown extension, it is with deep regret that we are announcing that Run Melbourne can no longer proceed as planned on Sunday 25 July.
