Wheelchair information

Racing Wheelchair

If you are a racing wheelchair please contact timing@solemotive.com to secure your spot. The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 10 minutes before the official Half Marathon event – at 6:25am.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS. Please be at the start line no later than 6.20am

Run Melbourne accommodates wheelchairs in our event. If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.

Drink stations

Drink stations are located every 4km. The Half Marathon will pass 5 drink stations. There will be Pure Sports Hydration drinks available at drinks stations number 3-5. Please refer to your course map for drink station locations.

Split points

At 10km & 20km points on course.

Kilometre markers

The kilometre markers for the Half Marathon will be coloured RED.

Start Line

Please note, that all the information below relates to Half Marathon participants:

START LINE LOCATION: Batman Avenue 

RACE START TIME: 6:25am. We recommend you arrive at the event village at least 45-60mins before your race start times.

WAVE START ASSEMBLY TIME: from 6:05am for all waves. For those wanting to be in Wave A or the Priority Area please be in position from 5:55am

WAVE START TIMES AND PREDICTED FINISH TIMES PER WAVE ALLOCATION:

WHEELCHAIR WAVE: 6:25am

WAVE A: 6:30am – Under 1 hour, 45 mins

WAVE B: 6:40am – 1 hour, 46mins – 1 hour, 55 mins

WAVE C: 6:50am  – 1 hour, 56 mins – 2 hours, 5 mins

WAVE D: 7:00am – 2 hours, 6 mins +

If you wish to run with friends or family who are starting in a different Wave Start Zone, you may start in a slower zone than that printed on your race number (e.g. someone with a B Zone label may start in B, C, or D) but not in a faster one (e.g. A).

Please note: Wave Start Zones will be indicated by signs in place at the start line to ensure a smooth start for all participants. Entrants are asked to assemble in the appropriate zone as indicated by the letter printed on their race bib. A start line map will be available closer to the date.

Course cut off times

Start line closes 7:20am.

Finish Line closes 12:30 pm.

17km by 10:15am - Crossing Toorak Rd Faulkner Park (12mins per km pace).
