Run Melbourne Pacers 2025

ASICS Half Marathon (21.1K)

Frank Gao

1 hour 30 minutes

Main reason for pacing is enjoying running with different people who need help and encouragement to achieve their goals!

Jordan and Brady McMillan

1 hour 45 minutes

Both Jordan and Brady have experience running the half marathon distance and Run Melbourne is an event they’ve both run before. “Pacing Run Melbourne for us is a great way to encourage other runners to achieve their goals”. This will be the second time Jordan has paced Run Melbourne pacing the 1:50 half marathon group last year and this is Brady’s first time pacing. Both very excited for the challenge and can’t wait to get out there.

I enjoy helping runners chase down their goals, which is why I’m back pacing at Run Melbourne! There’s nothing better than seeing someone hit a PB.

I’ve paced multiple Sole Motive half marathons events, the Ballarat Full Marathon, and the Great Ocean Road Running Festival Full Marathon.

My name is Jiang Su. I decided to become a pacer at Run Melbourne because I know how much it means to have someone by your side helping you hit your goal. As a runner, I’ve been on both sides – chasing a pacer and being the one leading the way.

I’ve paced 8 events before, including Ballarat Half Marathon, Sandy Point, Run For The Young and more. I love the energy and teamwork that comes with pacing.

I started running 3 years ago just before I turned 50 and haven’t stopped since. I run to work everyday and I’m part of the pacing team for the first time. I’m really excited to support every runner to finish the half, especially first timers and older runners. I love ice hockey so let’s chat while we Run Melbourne.

I am currently training for Sydney Marathon and looking forward to using this event as an opportunity to help others achieve their goals and to get in a solid training run. I love the race day energy and find it rewarding seeing others achieve their goals. Having previously paced at Parkrun and 2XU Wellness events, I’m keen to pace at more events in the future.

Run Melbourne was one of the first major events I participated in when I started running back in 2016, and it’s held a special place in my heart ever since. Over the years, I’ve made great friends, hit personal milestones, and grown as a runner through this event. I’m excited to give back by pacing this year – helping others reach their goals while enjoying the supportive and energetic atmosphere of one of Melbourne’s best-organised and most scenic runs.

I also volunteered as a pacer at Carman’s Fun Run earlier this year and had a great time supporting runners there – even with the terrible weather!

Run Melbourne is one of the biggest running events in Melbourne. Being a pacer in this event means I could give back to the community and helping others to achieve their goals. That is special.

Previous Experience: Few times in Park Run, Carman Fun Run – Half Marathon, Melbourne Marathon – Half Marathon (this year).

Amy Brookes

I achieved my own 10km PB at this event last year so I’m looking forward to helping others reach theirs! It’s my first time as an official pacer and I can’t wait.
