Join us for a fantastic day at Move Melbourne featuring Vision Australia’s Seeing Eye Dogs on Saturday July 20th, during the Run Melbourne weekend!

We’re welcoming everyone – including your furry friends, to walk, run, skip, or jog this 2K course, passing the Yarra River, crossing Tanderrum bridge, and finishing at Melbourne’s Grand Slam Oval in Olympic Park. It’s an inclusive event where all are invited, so save the date and be part of the excitement at Move Melbourne!

Come and meet some life-changing pups at Move Melbourne and support the Petbarn Foundation’s Seeing Eye Dogs Appeal, running in stores all over Australia for the entire month of July. You’ll have the opportunity to pat some cute pups, get your pawfect selfie, learn some basic training skills and support a very special cause.

Event Info

Where is the start line?

The start line is located in Melbourne Olympic Park next to Garden Square/Rod Laver Arena.

Registrations

Registrations are completely free. You can register before the event via the Run Melbourne registration link.

If you have already registered for Run Melbourne:  Create a new registration using the Run Melbourne registration link and only select ‘Move Melbourne’ when on the distance selection page. 

If you want to register for Run Melbourne AND Move Melbourne at the same time: Register for Run Melbourne first using the registration link for Run Melbourne, then on the ‘Transaction Summary’ page, click ‘+ Add Another Registration’, then only select ‘Move Melbourne’ on the distance selection page.

If you DO NOT want to register for Run Melbourne and ONLY want to register for Move Melbourne: Use the ‘Run Melbourne’ registration link and only select ‘Move Melbourne’ on the distance page.

Online registrations will close at 9.00am on Saturday July 20.

Where can I collect my race bib?

Your Move Melbourne Race Bib will be available for collection from 8:00AM, Saturday 20 July from the event village at Melbourne & Olympic Parks.

Note: Bibs are not available for collection pre-event

How long is the walk/run?

The total distance is approximately 2km.

Can I walk the course?

Yes, you can choose if you want to walk or run. 

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, you may bring a dog as long as they are on a lead.

What do I get when I finish?

Every finisher will receive water & a stylish Move Melbourne wristband (please note there are no medals for this event).

Do I need to pay for any of the activities at Move Melbourne?

No, Move Melbourne is a completely free event.

Where can I leave my bag?

There is a designated area on site where bags can be left.

Age limit

There is no age limit for the event, however participants under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Will there be any road closures?

No, there are no road closures around M&OP on Saturday 20 July, so there is plenty of free parking available.
